Goths tend to be pacifist. Emo-originally it was a great music genre that lasted in the 80's and the 90's. This is the real form of the emo genre. This form of the emo genre came from the punk genre. From present, emo music pretty much became watered down by the mainstream. Punk started in the 70's. Punk emphasizes the DIY ethic and anti-consumerism as does goth and is all about staying true to yourself no matter what, and standing up to others that get in your way.

Scene people don't cut. You can still cut without looking emo! I don't listen to screamo music or wear all black actually I hide things pretty well. From the descriptions of an 'emo' that ive seen, i don't feal like an emo, however i have once before cut in the past. I wear black, black leggins. So i don't feal that this is one of the traits of an emo, however i do feal they have some sort of insecurity.
